The Ojo Town Hall was filled with gratitude on Thursday as Hon. Comr. Ege Olusegun Adebisi, member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ojo Constituency 01, rounded off the 2025 edition of his Oju Ege free eye care outreach.
The programme, which began on Wednesday at Iba Town Hall, reached a total of 300 beneficiaries drawn from Ojo Town, Ira Quarters, Ajangbadi, Sabo, Iba LCDA, and neighbouring communities.
Participants received free eye tests, prescription glasses, medications, and eye drops, aimed at tackling vision-related challenges among constituents. Many attendees praised the initiative for restoring hope and providing relief to families struggling with untreated eye conditions.
“This is more than just glasses or medicine, it’s about giving us clarity and a brighter future,” a beneficiary from Ajangbadi said. Another from Ira Quarters added: “Hon. Ege is a man who sees our needs and acts. We pray for his strength and success.”
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Ege reaffirmed his commitment to prioritising the health and welfare of his constituents. “Your health, your vision, and your well-being are my priorities. Oju Ege is just one of our initiatives. Brace up for Ilera Ege and other projects to come. Together, we will build a stronger, healthier Ojo Constituency 01,” he declared, drawing loud applause.
The lawmaker also announced plans for Ilera Ege, a two-day medical outreach scheduled to hold across all wards in the constituency, further strengthening his promise to expand access to quality healthcare.
The success of Oju Ege 2025 has been widely described as a testament to Hon. Ege’s proactive leadership and dedication to community welfare. Constituents departed the town hall not only with improved vision but also with renewed hope in a representative many hailed as a champion of progress in Ojo.
