President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has paid glowing tribute to his wife, First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, as she marks her 65th birthday today, praising her resilience, devotion, and quiet sacrifices through decades of service to family and nation.
In a heartfelt message, the President described the First Lady as “the love of my life, my confidant, counsellor, and the steady flame illuminating my path.”
He recalled her unwavering support through years of struggle and political exile, highlighting her dignity, patience, and grace as the anchor that steadied him during the most challenging seasons of his life.
“You are more than my wife. You are my confidant and counsellor. In you, our children and grandchildren see compassion and faith, and in you, our nation sees the true strength of womanhood: resolute yet tender, humble yet unshakably firm,” the President said.
President Tinubu also noted the sacrifices Mrs. Tinubu has made behind the scenes, saying Nigeria owes her more than many may realise. “In every burden you carried without complaint, you served this country as surely as I have, not from the podium, but from the heart of our home.”
As both husband and Head of State, Tinubu celebrated her life and impact: “Today, I thank God for your life, health, and unwavering love. I salute you as the First Lady whose warmth and empathy continue to touch millions across our land. And as your lifelong companion, I say I love you more than ever and remain blessed by your presence.”
Wishing her joy and fulfilment in the years ahead, he concluded: “Happy 65th birthday, Oluremi @SenRemiTinubu. Your love is a treasure I hold dear.”
