LASG Introduces Visitor Tag System to Boost Transparency in Land Transactions

The Lagos State Lands Bureau has unveiled new measures aimed at promoting transparency, orderliness, and efficiency in land transactions across the state.

Speaking at the Bureau’s monthly Regulatory Clinic on Thursday, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Kamar Olowoshago, announced the introduction of a Visitor Tag System, which is designed to streamline processes, strengthen security, and improve public engagement.

According to him, the system will help eliminate unauthorized movements within the Bureau’s premises, thereby discouraging fraudulent practices while ensuring that visitors are properly identified and directed to the appropriate directorates or units.

“With this initiative, every visitor to the Bureau can now be easily recognized and attended to appropriately. This will not only strengthen security but also promote efficiency in our service delivery,” Olowoshago said.

He urged members of the public transacting land matters with the Bureau to comply with the new procedure, assuring that the State Government remains committed to transparency and seamless land administration.

The Permanent Secretary further explained that the Bureau’s monthly Regulatory Clinic serves as a platform to resolve issues related to land administration, refine business processes, and gather valuable feedback from stakeholders.
