Senator Idiat Oluranti Adebule, representing Lagos West Senatorial District, has received commendations for her impactful legislative and constituency work — and capped her performance with a major mega empowerment programme for her constituents.

At the highly anticipated Lagos West Stakeholders Engagement and Mega Empowerment Programme held at the LTV Blue-Roof Pavilion, Ikeja, Adebule distributed business tools and startup support items to 1,000 beneficiaries drawn from across the district. Empowerment items included commercial buses, sewing machines, hair dryers, laptops, barbing kits with generators, catering equipment, and in several cases cash support, aimed at jump-starting entrepreneurship and promoting economic inclusion among youths, women, and small business owners.

The event also served as a mid-term account of stewardship, during which the Senator unveiled 18 bills she has sponsored in the National Assembly and highlighted multiple constituency projects in healthcare, youth development, infrastructure, and security — including ongoing construction of health centres and the installation of solar-powered streetlights across the district.

Joining dignitaries at the occasion were notable figures including Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriations, Solomon Olamilekan “Yayi” Adeola, former Senator representing Lagos West, who praised Adebule’s performance. In his remarks, Yayi lauded her stewardship, noting she has continued and expanded effective representation since assuming office in June 2023, earning a reported 90% score for legislative impact, a reflection of her commitment to delivering both laws and life-enhancing programmes for the people of Lagos West.

Adebule, who succeeded Yayi in representing the district, expressed gratitude for the support and reiterated her dedication to the welfare and socio-economic growth of her constituents. She described the empowerment programme as part of her broader vision to promote self-reliance and shared prosperity.
Beneficiaries and stakeholders praised the Senator’s efforts, with many highlighting the empowerment items as critical tools for boosting small-scale business and economic resilience in the district.
