The Lagos State Conference of APC 2025 Chairmanship and Councilorship Aspirants (LASCOCA) has warmly welcomed the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his safe return to Abuja following a successful and impactful official visit to the Republic of Türkiye.
In a statement issued on Sunday, 1 Feb, 2026, LASCOCA congratulated the President for once again projecting Nigeria positively on the global stage and advancing the nation’s diplomatic and economic interests through strengthened Nigeria–Turkey bilateral relations.
According to LASCOCA, President Tinubu’s engagements with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and other top government and business leaders have laid a solid foundation for deeper cooperation in critical areas such as trade, investment, defence, infrastructure development, energy, education and security.
The group commended the President for his commitment to attracting foreign investment and fostering partnerships that will translate into economic growth, job creation and improved national security for Nigerians. LASCOCA particularly applauded the strategic agreements reached during the visit, describing them as timely and beneficial to Nigeria’s long-term development agenda.
“President Tinubu’s visit to Türkiye reflects visionary leadership and a clear focus on repositioning Nigeria as a strong and reliable partner in global affairs,” the statement read. “His efforts to strengthen Nigeria–Turkey relations will undoubtedly yield positive outcomes for communities across the country, including grassroots development and social stability.”
LASCOCA further reaffirmed its support for the President’s reform-driven administration and urged Nigerians to remain optimistic and united as the dividends of these international engagements begin to manifest.
The body concluded by wishing President Tinubu continued strength and wisdom as he steers the affairs of the nation and delivers on his promise of Renewed Hope for all Nigerians.
