BREAKING: 32 Farmers Feared Dead in Fresh Bandit Attacks in Niger State

No fewer than 32 farmers have reportedly been killed in a series of coordinated bandit attacks on Tugan-Makeri, Konsoko, and Pissa communities in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State, throwing the region into mourning and fear.

Local sources said the attackers stormed the farming communities in separate assaults, opening fire on residents and farmers working on their lands. Many victims were said to have been caught off guard, while several others sustained injuries and fled into nearby bushes for safety.

The latest violence highlights the worsening security situation in parts of North-Central Nigeria, where rural communities continue to face deadly raids, kidnappings, and displacement. Residents say repeated attacks have disrupted farming activities and threatened food security in the area.
