
In a bid to promote education and support young learners, the Executive Chairman of Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Kareem Azeez Abiodun, has officially presented the first phase of 100 free GCE forms to students within the community.
Speaking during the presentation, Hon. Kareem underscored the value of education, urging the beneficiaries to seize the opportunity and excel in their studies. He further disclosed that the Council has put in place a system to reward outstanding performances among the students, noting that those who achieve excellence would be duly recognized.
“This initiative is not only about giving out free forms but also about encouraging hard work and motivating our students to strive for success,” the Chairman said.
Also addressing the gathering, the Council Manager, Mr. Salam Adeyemi, described education as the greatest legacy any parent or government can bestow on a child. “Once a child secures their WASC, they are equipped for life,” he remarked, while advising students to take full advantage of the chairman’s magnanimity.
In the same vein, the Director of Education, Mr. Nasiru Abayomi, charged the beneficiaries to make Oto-Awori LCDA proud by working hard and performing excellently in their examinations.
The distribution of free GCE forms is part of a series of people-oriented initiatives under Hon. Kareem’s administration, reflecting the Council’s unwavering commitment to empowering the youth and strengthening the foundation of education in the community.
