
Senator Abdulaziz Yar’adua, representing Katsina Central and chairman of the Senate Committee on Army, has categorically denied rumors of his defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC). In a statement titled “I remain a committed member of the APC,” he reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the party and urged the press to disregard speculative headlines suggesting otherwise.
Yar’adua emphasized that not everyone sharing his surname is politically associated with him, accusing some media outlets of mischief and distortion. He highlighted the APC’s achievements, particularly under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, such as increased funding for states and local governments, infrastructure development, and enhanced security measures.
The senator pledged to continue working closely with the Senate leadership to drive legislative reforms that complement the president’s efforts. He stressed the importance of unity and progress, stating that he remains committed to the APC’s goals and will work with leaders to ensure the prosperity of all Nigerians.
