
The Kano State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of two suspects in connection with the violent attack on Nigerian singer Keshinro Ololade, popularly known as Lil Kesh.
The suspects, identified as Mathew Adewole and Mukhtar Muhammad, were apprehended on Thursday after investigations linked them to the assault which took place at the artiste’s Lagos residence.
According to preliminary reports, the duo allegedly inflicted a deep cut on the singer’s neck during an attempt to murd£r him. The motive behind the attack has not yet been disclosed, but police sources hinted that the case is being treated as both an attempted homicide and a conspiracy.
Lil Kesh, who rose to fame with several hit singles in Nigeria’s music scene, was reportedly rushed to a hospital in Lagos where he is receiving treatment. Medical personnel say he is in stable condition, though his injuries are described as “severe.”
Kano State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) confirmed the arrests, stating that the suspects are in custody and will be transferred to Lagos for further investigation and prosecution.
