Hon. Agbawi Zaccheus Urges Iba Ward A Residents and the Entire Iba Community to Participate in INEC’s Continuous Voter Registration Exercise

Hon. Agbawi Adesoji Zaccheus, Councilor Ward A and Deputy Leader of the Iba Legislative Arm, has called on residents of Ward A and Iba community at large to take full advantage of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise launched today by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

According to him, the registration exercise, which commenced on Monday, 18 August 2025, provides both online and physical platforms to make the process easier and more inclusive. While the online phase runs from today until 10 December 2025, physical registration at designated biometric centres will begin on 25 August 2025.

Hon. Agbawi explained that the CVR is open to first-time registrants who have attained the age of 18, existing voters who need to update their details, those wishing to transfer their polling units, and citizens yet to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

He urged residents of Iba to act promptly: “I encourage every eligible resident of Ward A and the Iba community at large to make good use of this opportunity. Do not wait until the last minute — begin your registration today and encourage others around you. Our votes remain our voices, and democracy thrives when we all participate.”

For registration, citizens are advised to use the official INEC portal https://cvr.inecnigeria.org for online pre-registration, updates, transfers, and PVC status checks. From 25 August 2025, they can also visit INEC state or local government offices for biometric capture and issuance of their Temporary Voter Cards.
