
In a bid to strengthen youth engagement and foster community development, Hon. Sam Adeyemi, representative of Ikorodu Constituency I at the Lagos State Youth Parliament, has partnered with the Ikorodu Oga Development Association (IKODASS), led by its Chairman, Alhaji Kolawole Olayiwola Fatai, alongside other executives.

The meeting underscored the need for greater synergy between youths and community leaders in advancing the socio-cultural and economic progress of Ikorodu. Hon. Adeyemi commended IKODASS for its long-standing role in promoting grassroots development and pledged continued collaboration with the association to create more opportunities for young people.

IKODASS, a prominent community-based organization in Ikorodu, is known for its initiatives in promoting local businesses and products through its marketplace directory, supporting education and youth talent through programs and partnerships, and preserving the town’s rich cultural heritage. The association has also been instrumental in cultural revival, talent discovery, and collaborations with government and educational institutions to uplift the community.
Speaking during the engagement, Alhaji Fatai reaffirmed IKODASS’ commitment to providing a platform where youths can thrive while safeguarding Ikorodu’s traditions and values.
This partnership is expected to open new avenues for youth inclusion, cultural preservation, and community-driven development in Ikorodu.
