Iba LCDA Set To Commission Multiple Community Projects As Abila Flags Off Three-day Event

Iba Local Council Development Area (LCDA) is set to witness a major boost in infrastructural and community development as the Executive Chairman, Hon. Yisa Abiola Jubril (Abila), commences a three-day projects commissioning exercise from Tuesday, January 27 to Thursday, January 29, 2026.

According to the commissioning schedule, activities will kick off on Tuesday, January 27, with the commissioning of key grassroots projects including the Town Hall at Mebamu, Aka Town Hall (Aka Village), and newly constructed boreholes at the Health Care Centre, Kemberi, Oke-Afa; Baale Kemberi; and Baba Mikky House, aimed at improving access to potable water and community engagement.

The commissioning continues on Wednesday, January 28, featuring the unveiling of a newly constructed road with interlock paving stones and twin culvert at Ago Hausa Street, alongside the commissioning of the Mosque at Ago Hausa and the Igbo-Elerin Town Hall. Also slated for the day is the commissioning of a borehole at Okeologun Street, Okokomaiko.

The final day, Thursday, January 29, will see the commissioning of projects within Iba township, including the Iba Town Hall, Alape Link Road, Iba Public Toilet, and a borehole project at Iba, further reinforcing the council’s commitment to sanitation, mobility, and water supply.

The three-day event underscores the Abila-led administration’s dedication to grassroots development, improved social infrastructure, and enhanced quality of life for residents across Iba LCDA.

Residents, community leaders, and stakeholders are expected to grace the ceremonies as the council continues to deliver people-oriented projects in line with its developmental agenda.
