The Lagos State Government has inaugurated a grassroots mobilisation team, Renewed Hope Ambassadors, aimed at promoting the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu across communities in the state.
The inauguration, held at the 10 Degrees Events Centre in Ikeja, was led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who described the initiative as a civic awareness platform designed to inform citizens about the policies, programmes, and milestones of the Tinubu administration.
Sanwo-Olu appointed 20 coordinators, led by his Chief of Staff, Tayo Ayinde, to drive the project across the 57 local government and local council development areas in Lagos. To support the initiative, the governor also donated 20 branded vehicles for community engagement and mobilisation.
The programme operates under a national framework headed by the Director-General and Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, with structures extending from the national level to grassroots communities.
The governor emphasised that the initiative should not be mistaken for a political campaign, describing it instead as a platform for public sensitisation on government programmes and fulfilled promises.
“This is not a campaign rally. It is a commitment to informing citizens about government programmes and achievements,” Sanwo-Olu said.
He urged the coordinators to take awareness campaigns to communities, wards, markets, campuses, polling units, and other grassroots platforms, stressing the need for effective communication of government policies.
Sanwo-Olu also highlighted key achievements of the Tinubu administration, including infrastructure expansion, economic stabilisation, increased foreign direct investment, implementation of a new minimum wage, reduced debt burden, lower inflation, and improved social welfare initiatives.

Several top APC figures attended the event, including Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Speaker Oludaisi Elemide, and other political stakeholders, although former Governors Ibikunle Amosun and Gbenga Daniel were notably absent.
