
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has restated the state’s commitment to the National Social Register (NSR), describing it as a vital tool for reaching vulnerable households with social protection programmes.
Speaking through his Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr. Sam Egube, at a stakeholder engagement themed “Advancing Social Protection through the National Social Register,” the governor praised President Bola Tinubu for repositioning the NSR as a credible and transparent intervention platform. He added that Lagos had fully integrated the system under its Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.
“The register is not just a database; it is a lifeline for millions of Nigerians. Lagos is aligning with this vision by ensuring the system is strengthened, transparent and accountable,” Sanwo-Olu said.
