The Lagos State University (LASU) has issued a strong warning to students and members of the public against engaging in unauthorised content creation within its campuses.
In a statement shared via its official Instagram page, the university said it has observed a growing trend of individuals using LASU premises for skits, short films, vox pop interviews, promotional videos and other audiovisual productions without approval.

LASU management expressed concern that some of the content being produced is offensive and portrays the institution in a negative light, stressing that such activities undermine the university’s values as a centre for learning, discipline and character development.
The institution stated that anyone intending to carry out cinematographic or audiovisual activities on campus — including hostels and other university facilities — must obtain prior approval from the Centre for Information and Public Relations (CIPR). The CIPR office is located on the third floor of the Babatunde Raji Fashola Senate Building, Main Campus, Ojo.
Additionally, the university warned that the use of drones on campus without clearance from the Security Department is strictly prohibited, citing serious concerns over safety, privacy and campus security.

LASU concluded by appreciating students and stakeholders for their cooperation and support in protecting the dignity, image and reputation of the institution.
