
Lawal Maryam Abiodun, a graduate of Lagos State University’s (LASU) Faculty of Law, has achieved remarkable success at the Nigerian Law School’s Call to Bar ceremony held on July 10, 2025, in Abuja. Out of 7,134 students called to the Bar, Maryam distinguished herself by being named the Best Graduating Female Student and the Second Overall Best Graduating Student.
Maryam’s achievement highlights LASU’s commitment to producing outstanding graduates and serves as a source of immense pride for the university. Professor Kareem Olatoye, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, represented the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, at the ceremony. He praised Maryam as a “true ambassador” and urged current and aspiring law students to emulate her dedication.
