NAF Executes Precision Airstrike, Obliterates Major Terrorist Base in Sambisa Forest

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has recorded another major success in its counterterrorism campaign with a precision air interdiction mission that destroyed a major terrorist enclave at ARRA, deep within the Sambisa Forest.

Acting on the directive of the Chief of the Air Staff, NAF aircraft executed the strike on 19 November 2025, following a series of detailed intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations. These ISR missions tracked the movement of terrorists linked to the 17 October ambush on troops at KASHOMRI, revealing heightened activity and fortified structures at the ARRA hideout.

According to military authorities, the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI carried out coordinated attack runs, engaging multiple targets with accuracy. All designated objectives were hit and destroyed, resulting in the degradation of the terrorists’ operational capacity and disruption of their command and logistics networks.

The NAF described the mission as another demonstration of its commitment to supporting ground forces, eliminating terrorist threats, and defending Nigeria’s territorial integrity. The Force reaffirmed its determination to sustain pressure on terrorist cells across all operational theatres until lasting peace is fully secured.
