Oniba Ekun Readies One of Nigeria’s Largest Interstate Transport Parks

His Royal Majesty Oba Sulaimon Adeshina Raji-Ashade 1 ( Oniba Ekun of Iba Kingdom), is set to officially inaugurate one of the country’s largest interstate transport terminals today, Saturday, July 19, 2025. The grand ceremony will take place at the newly built Jafoson Interstate Transport Park, located at Jafoson Park in Alaba Irago, Iba LCDA, Ojo, Lagos.

The state-of-the-art terminal is poised to revolutionize interstate travel by offering comprehensive transport services to passengers bound for multiple states across Nigeria. Designed with modern amenities, the facility guarantees a travel experience marked by comfort, affordability, and enhanced safety.

This ambitious initiative complements Oniba Ekun’s earlier transport project launched from Iyana-Iba—an endeavour lauded for making travel more accessible and economically enabling for ordinary Nigerians.

Emphasizing the initiative’s broad vision, a leadership commentary from the May rollout described it as “economic empowerment by design,” and an infrastructure solution that integrates safety protocols, trained personnel, and improved digital access.

Today’s inauguration is expected to draw a host of dignitaries, community leaders, transport operators, and well-wishers. Guests will tour the facility, observe the terminal’s operations, and hear outline plans for expanding connections from Lagos to key destinations nationwide.
