Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her 65th birthday, describing her as a compassionate leader and steadfast supporter of President Bola Tinubu.
In a statement issued on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, the governor commended Senator Tinubu for her decades of public service, noting her impact in Lagos as First Lady, her 12 years in the Senate, and her ongoing initiatives at the national level.
Sanwo-Olu highlighted the First Lady’s Renewed Hope Initiative, which he said has touched millions of lives across the country, particularly through empowerment programmes for women and children.
“On behalf of my wife, Ibijoke, the government and people of Lagos State, I heartily congratulate Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Nigeria’s First Lady and the wife of our leader and President, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on her 65th birthday,” Sanwo-Olu said.
He described her as “a great ambassador of Lagos State”, praising her integrity in public office and her dedication to social justice, philanthropy, and national development.
“As our Amazon turns 65, I pray for God’s continued guidance, good health, strength, and grace for her to keep serving humanity and our dear country,” the governor added.
