The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, has been elected as the new President of the Nigerian Boxing Federation (NBF). His emergence follows a keenly contested election held in Abuja, which drew representatives from across the country’s boxing associations, coaches, and other key stakeholders in the sport.
Edun’s appointment is being hailed as a strategic move aimed at breathing new life into Nigerian boxing, which has struggled in recent years due to poor funding, lack of infrastructure, and inadequate development programs.
