A tragic incident has shaken Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, following the death of a 400-level Business Education student, Idris Aremu Agboluaje, who lost his life in a road accident while trying to sit for his first-semester final-year examination.
According to reports by The Guardian, Agboluaje was denied entry into the examination hall after he was unable to present his student identity card. In a desperate attempt to meet up with the ongoing exam, he reportedly rushed back toward the school gate to retrieve the card.

Eyewitnesses said the student was speeding back to the examination venue when he became involved in a fatal road accident on Wednesday, cutting short his life and academic journey just months before graduation.
The heartbreaking incident has plunged the KWASU community into deep mourning, with students and staff expressing shock and sorrow over the sudden loss.

In an official statement, the university management described the incident as an “unfortunate road accident” and extended condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the deceased. The Association of Business Educators of Nigeria at KWASU also lamented the tragedy, calling it a painful loss to the department and the entire university community.
