Tragedy in Badagry: Vice Chairman Princess Oluremi Ajose Dies, Two Months After Swearing-In

Badagry West Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of its Vice Chairman, Princess Oluremi Nutayi Ajose.

Her passing was confirmed on Thursday by sources close to the family, and further reported by Badagry Today and other local media platforms.

Princess Ajose, who took office barely two months ago alongside the Council Chairman, Hon. Rauf Ibrahim Kayode Yemaren (popularly known as RIKAY), was described as a rising political figure in the area.

Family insiders disclosed that her remains have been deposited in a morgue, although the cause of death has not yet been made public.

News of her demise has quickly spread across social media, with tributes pouring in from residents, political associates, and community groups.

Princess Ajose was a daughter of His Royal Majesty, Oba Oyekan Possi Ajose, the Alapa of Apa Egun-Awori Kingdom, making her both a traditional and political figure of note in Badagry.

Her death has left a cloud of sorrow over the council, with many describing it as a monumental loss for the community.

As at press time, official statements from the LCDA and the Ajose royal family are still being awaited.
